About My Junior College
Jai Hind College was established in 1948 by a small band of teachers who worked at D J Sind College, Karachi. Jobless, houseless and faced with an uncertain future, they tried to work for the educational rehabilitation of the Sindhi community. It was with grit and determination that their vision for this college was born.
The college started as an Arts and Science College initially. However, it has, over a period of time, offered new courses and subjects in keeping with the changing needs of the students. The faculty of Commerce was introduced in 1980. BMS and Computer Science were introduced in 1999, BMM and Biotechnology in 2002, and Banking & Insurance in 2003.
Jai Hind College today caters to more than 5000 students, and is considered among the best and most sought after colleges in the city. For many, it is synonymous with quality education. It has produced illustrious alumni who have occupied distinguished positions in various spheres and are eloquent testimony to the caliber of education imparted by this college.
